Safari Kids Lessons for October
Every Saturday evening, our online lessons are posted to our Safari Kids Online page, and stay on the page for that next week.! The stories of each month are archived on our YouTube channel, but are removed after a month for licensing reasons. If you miss a Sunday, visit our Safari Kids Online page, or our YouTube channel to catch up!
Memory Verse & Song for October
All children in Kindergarten - 5th grade are encouraged to memorize the verse below and say it (or sing it) on October 25th for a prize! Memorize all of the verses (17 & 18) for a prize AND a special treat! This is true for kids who are coming in person OR attending online! One of the best ways to memorize scripture is to SING it! Hop over to our Safari Kids Online page, and watch Ms. Tracy's virtual lesson. Each lesson begins with a short teaching on the memory verse, followed by the song!
Safari Kids Ministry Rules - SLLRP! |
The behavior rules in Safari Kids help our children be better prepared to receive the lesson God has for them. This system is called SLLRP (pronounced slurp). Each letter in SLLRP stands for a different “I Can” statement that helps children take ownership of their time and behavior at church each week.
Our hope and prayer is that you’ll join us in talking about these expectations with your children at home as we talk about them at church. Psalm 42:1-2 (NIrV) says, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” We want kids to thirst for God just like the psalmist, and when they SLLRP it up, it allows them to soak up everything God wants to teach them! Take a moment and scroll through each "I Can" statement, and let us know if you have questions! |
