Music Ministry

The worship style at First Alliance is new and exciting. Worship music is led by Tony Huffer and other worship leaders on the First Alliance Worship Team. The Worship Team music comes largely from today's most gifted worship song writers including Joel Houston, Kari Jobe, Chris Tomlin, Michael Gungor, Paul Baloche, Josh Wilson and even original music from our own worship team members.

The worship team rehearses each Thursday at 6:00 pm for Sunday worship and Wednesday at 6 pm for Friday night Celebrate Recovery. Musicians and singers use an online resource called PlanningCenterOnline to practice the music prior to Wednesday or Thursday rehearsals. Sheet music, chord charts and MP3 files are available on the website.

First Alliance offers multiple worship times and venues. Our Midway campus is home to Sunday morning worship in the Worship Center and the Cafe. A third site is our satellite campus in Punta Gorda at the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. On Friday nights the Midway campus is alive with worship for Celebrate Recovery.

Team members volunteer on a rotating basis- band members included. Schedules are made three months in advance.  Most worship team members serve an average of two times per month.

We are always adding proficient vocalists and instrumentalists to the worship team!
